I began my career as a photojournalist at the Kansas City Kansan Newspaper, at the tender age of 18 in 1970. I began working in the want ad department at the newspaper but soon was bored with that and started following photographers around and loved the creativity and how you could capture the expression of someone winning, someone hitting the perfect pitch or how the fog lays just inches above the ground on a frosty morning.

Through the years I continued to love taking all kinds of photographs. Capturing those personal moments and going to new places and bringing those places back to show friends and family and helping people capture their special moments in time.
